Submitting a loan

Step 1 - Complete Application form
  • Log into your CRM system or directly into ApplyOnline and complete the Adelaide Bank application. 
  • If your customer/s would like to digitally sign their loan offer document you'll need to select Electronic Signature from the drop down box under "Receive Loan Offer Documentation"
  • Complete all mandatory details and 'validate' (taking note of any red or amber 'flags').
  • Should the applicant/s not wish to sign electronically, please ensure that all parties have signed the application where required (including the NCC Purpose Declaration if applicable).
Step 2 – Upload supporting documents
  • The Supporting Documents checklist will show you which supporting documentation is required to be uploaded. This applies to new residential lending and variations to existing loans.
  • No evidence of identification is required if you have selected Electronic ID Verification and successfully verified two identification documents. 
  • The eSign feature will ensure that all parties have signed the application consents.
  • Where a Company or Trust Verification of Identity form is required, print from ApplyOnline, complete and have signed by the applicant and upload to the relevant checklist tile.
Step 3 – Submit Application
  • Once all application data is complete and all supporting document checklist items complete, 'Submit' your application.
  • You will receive confirmation of your submission and an application number will be sent via message to ApplyOnline.
  • We will also return to you an indicative credit decision. Because your application will go to a credit reporting agency and run through the Bank's credit decision engine. Policy rules will show you where an application may need to be referred because it does not fit the Banks risk appetite.
Step 4 - Quality check
  • Our pre-assessment team will review your supporting documents to ensure everything is on file for our assessment team to be able to assess your application.
Step 5 - Assessment and Approval
  • Our assessment team will review your application to ensure that it complies with Bank's credit risk appetite.
  • Our assessment team may contact you to request additional supporting documentation to assist with our assessment.
  • We will notify you of Conditional Approval and arrange Valuations & Lender’s Mortgage Insurance if required.
  • We will also notify you of Formal Approval or if the lending criteria have not been met and rework deals with new loan structures or loan amounts if possible.
Step 6 – Loan Documentation 
  • You will receive notification when the loan documents have been produced. You will also be able to see this status change in ApplyOnline.
  • Loan documents will be dispatched to the nominated destination on the application.
  • Your customer/s needs to complete, sign and return the documents in the pre-paid envelope including the FATCA & OECD questions on the Financial Summary.
  • If you selected digital documents as the delivery option during the application stage the digital document pack will be made available electronically.
  • Please note:
    • Non-South Australian documents ineligible for KWIL will be issued via the Galilee Portal for downloading by the broker.
    • South Australian documents ineligible for DocuSign will be issued via hard copy in accordance with non-digital process.
Step 7 – Settlement
  • You will receive notification when the loan is ready for settlement, and then settles. You will also be able to see this status change in ApplyOnline.
Step 8 – Commission payment
  • Commission payments are arranged within seven days of month-end.
  • Payments will be sent directly to your aggregator who will facilitate payment to you.
Step 9 – Post-settlement support
  • Your customer will receive an welcome call from us to ensure that loan settlement is to their satisfaction as well as to provide an introduction to internet banking and their relevant account numbers.
